Preston and South Ribble Fairtrade Group

The Group has produced a Pledge which can be displayed by any Church or other Faith Group committed to Fairtrade

To qualify for the Pledge the Church or Faith Group should:-

1. Use only Fairtrade tea and coffee at its functions.
2. Encourage its members to purchase Fairtrade products from local supermarkets, Fair Trade reps, by mail order or via the internet.
3. Hold regular Traidcraft and/or Tearcraft stalls or distribute Traidcraft or Tearcraft catalogues to encourage orders from members.
4. Provide opportunities for members to consider the application of their faith in the area of Fairtrade eg Harvest, One World Week, Fairtrade Fortnight.

Presentation of the Pledge:-

The Preston and South Ribble Fairtrade Group would value the opportunity to be involved in some way in the presentation of the Pledge.

A member of the Group would be willing to speak on the topic of Fairtrade/present the Pledge as part of the regular Church service/Faith meeting.
