Bananas!

Lawyer Juan "Accidentes" Dominguez is on his biggest case ever. On behalf of twelve Nicaraguan banana workers he is tackling Dole Food in a ground-breaking legal battle for their use of a banned pesticide that was known by the company to cause sterility. Can he beat the giant, or will the corporation get away with it?

Tuesday 5th March 7.30pm

Big Boys Gone Bananas!

The film 'Bananas' was selected for the 2009 Los Angeles Film Festival. Then filmmaker Gertten received a letter from Dole's attorneys threatening legal action if the film was shown at this festival. This powerful film reveals precisely how a multinational will stop at nothing to get its way.

Tickets £6 or £10 for both films.

Available from The Continental; or contact 07813 870641; or on door.
